Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy
One-on-one time with a dedicated clinician gives you space to work through what’s underneath your substance use or mental health challenges, at a pace and depth group settings can’t always offer.
Group therapy and family sessions do important work, but some things are easier — or only possible — to work through one-on-one. Individual therapy gives you dedicated time with a clinician who gets to know your specific history, triggers, and goals in depth.
At Midtown Recovery Center, individual therapy is woven throughout both our PHP and IOP programs, working alongside group therapy, family sessions, and any specialized modalities that are part of your plan, such as CBT, DBT, or EMDR. Your individual therapist serves as a consistent point of connection throughout treatment, helping tie everything together into one coherent plan rather than a series of disconnected sessions.
Whatever pace or depth you need, individual therapy gives you the space to get there.
Signs You May Need Treatment
- Wanting dedicated, one-on-one time to process what’s underneath your struggles
- Experiences that feel too personal or complex to bring into a group setting
- A desire for a treatment plan built specifically around your history and goals
- Wanting consistency with the same clinician throughout treatment
- Needing space to work through material at your own pace
Our Approach to Treatment
Personalized Treatment Planning
Your individual therapist builds a plan specific to your history, diagnosis, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Dedicated Clinical Relationship
You’ll work with the same clinician throughout treatment, building the trust that makes deeper work possible.
Integration Across Modalities
Your individual therapist helps connect the dots between group therapy, family sessions, and any specialized modalities like CBT, DBT, or EMDR.
Confidential, Judgment-Free Space
Individual sessions give you room to talk through anything, at whatever pace feels right for you.
We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans
Don't let cost be a barrier to recovery. Most treatment is covered by insurance.
